Bruno Fernandes & Alisson lead list of marquee Saudi Pro League targets – report

Title: Saudi Pro League’s Ambitious Summer Plans: Bruno Fernandes, Alisson, and More!

The Saudi Pro League is gearing up for a summer of sensational signings, with a reported target list that includes some of football’s biggest names. Among them are Manchester United’s talismanic captain, Bruno Fernandes, and Liverpool’s formidable goalkeeper, Alisson.

According to a report, the league is eyeing ten marquee signings to bolster its ranks. Already boasting stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and Neymar, the league is determined to raise the bar even higher by adding more quality to its lineup.

The Telegraph reveals that there’s significant interest in acquiring Bruno Fernandes, although the negotiations are expected to be challenging. Similarly, discussions are underway for an ambitious move to bring Alisson to the Saudi Pro League, alongside his Brazilian compatriot Ederson from Manchester City.

While securing Fernandes or Alisson might pose a challenge, there’s optimism around the potential signing of Casemiro. The Manchester United midfielder, who joined from Real Madrid, has seen a dip in form this season. Although the Red Devils are willing to part ways with the 32-year-old, they won’t push for his departure.

Casemiro’s initial £60m transfer fee, plus additional add-ons, made him a significant investment for United. Despite an impressive debut season, his performance has faltered, often being deployed as a makeshift centre-back due to the club’s injury woes.

In addition to these targets, the Pro League has set its sights on securing Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah. With their contracts at Manchester City and Liverpool expiring in 2025, this summer represents an opportunity for the league to swoop in if they decide not to extend their stays.

Another potential acquisition from Liverpool is Thiago Alcantara, whose contract expires at the end of the current season. The Spanish midfielder, though plagued by injuries, remains a valuable asset, having played limited minutes this campaign.

With these ambitious plans, the Saudi Pro League aims to elevate its status in the footballing world, attracting top talent and enhancing its competitiveness on the global stage. As the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on the league’s pursuit of these marquee signings.
